Vietnam Great Tours guide and driver will welcome you with the VIETNAM GREAT TOUR LOGO & your name on signboard at the airport and drive you to the hotel. During the drive your guide will provide an introduction to Saigon. Rest of the day is free at leisure.
Early morning (from 4:00 to 4:30 am), we start pre-dawn departure from the hotel. Enter the temple in the darkness and prepare for catching the dawn.
Choose the best place to enjoy sunrise, ready with camera and professional photograph facilities under help and guideline from our local tour guide. Before meeting up sunrise, tour guide will give you a brief story about Angkor history and Khmer empire.
Soak up the atmosphere of dawn at Angkor, catch up with the first light of sunrise. And then we discover the rest of Angkor Wat. After that, we end the tour at Angkor Wat and take a short breakfast outside. Continue with Angkor Thom site from the South Gate, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King.
Have lunch at local restaurant at your own expense, and take a leisure before going to Ta Prohm – one of the most famous temple in Angkor area. The temple was used as scenery for Tomb Raider movie.
Back to the hotel and say goodbye to our tour guide after a long day to discover Angkor culture.
Fisrtly, you’ll visit the highly-intricate pink coloured Banteay Srei Temple – which translates beautifully to “The Citadel of Women”.
You’ll be hungry after that long drive, so settle into one of the restaurants nearby, and dig into some traditional Cambodian curries, soups and stir-fries.
Spend your afternoon exploring the completely unique East Mebon, Ta Som and Preah Khan Temples, all built for different reasons at different times. Keep an eye out for the detail in these ancient walls.
Finally, revel in sunset at lovely Pre Rup—a temple built in dedication to the Hindu god Shiva in Phnom Bakkeng Hill—before returning to your hotel for the evening.
Breakfast at hotel. Visit Roluos Group. The monuments of Roluos, which served as the capital of Indravarman I (reigned 877-89. Preah KO erected by Indravarman I in the late 9th century dedicated by the King to his ancestors in 880. Bakong the largest and most interesting of the Roluos group temples, with his active Buddhist monastery just to the north of the east entrance. Lolei built on an islet in the center of a large reservoir (now rice fields) by Yasovarman I, the founder to the first city at Angkor.
And then, we visit the floating village of Kompong Pluk where you will take the wood boat to explore floating village and the flooded forest before reaching to Tonle Sap Lake to take a glimpse of fishermen and other activities. We spend the rest of day visiting the “Chantiers Ecoles – Les Artisans d’Angkor” which provides training to young Cambodians in an effort to revive the ancient Khmer traditions of stone carving and wood sculpting. Overnight in Siem Reap.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for taking your flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival, meet our driver/guide and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure.
After breakfast – Enjoy Cyclo “Rickshow” tour to visit Wat Phnom is the most significant of all the temples in Phnom Penh. The Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace. The Royal Palace of Cambodia is a complex of buildings although it is generally understood to be the royal abode of the King of Cambodia. The National Museum, one of Phnom Penh’s true architectural gems, It house more than 14,000 items; the World’s largest collection of Khmer Art, including sculptures, ceramics, bronzes, and ethnographic objects dating from prehistoric times to periods before during and after the Khmer Empire.
12:00pm – Embark on Cambo Cruise with welcome drinks.
12:30pm – Enjoy lunch with fresh fruits.
You will cruising along the Phnom Penh riverfront enjoy the view from the upper deck or down on the main deck for a more cozy experience near the bar. Passing the Royal Palace, see the junction of the Tonle Sap, Mekong, and Bassac rivers. Up the Mekong River you will see floating villages and fishing families living on their boats. The trip to Silk Island takes about 1 hour.
Docking at Silk Island you are a short ride steps away from the silk farms. Along the way you can view plantations and see village life. A modern pagoda nearby is also an active monastery. This is not a tourist attraction, be respectful. At the silk farms you can watch the intricate process of silk being made from larvae to finished goods. Tour guides will be provided.
The boat will be open for food, drinks, relaxing or for using the facilities while in port.
Arrival at the dock, disembark and transfer to hotel.
Morning, you visit the notorious Killing Fields “ChoeungEk” 15km southwest of Phnom Penh. This one is the site of brutal executions of more than 17,000 individuals, most of who first suffered through interrogations, torture and deprivation in ToulSleng Prison during Pol Pot regime (From 1975–1979). Continue your visit to TuolSleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison). This prison was a high school, and used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge.
Afternoon, we visit Russian Market and Central Market. Back to hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Sihanouk Ville, and then take speed boat to Koh Rong Samloem. Overnight in Koh Rong Samloem.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free at your own leisure enjoy some actives by you own. Overnight in Koh Rong Samloem.
After breakfast, take the speed boat back to Sihanouk Ville. And transfer back to Phnom Penh for the departure flight.
