Itinerary

Day 1Hanoi arrival (-/-/-)

Vietnam Great Tours driver and tour guide will welcome you with the VIETNAM GREAT TOUR LOGO & your name on signboard at the airport and drive you to the hotel.
We will then have 45 minutes to enjoy Water Puppet Performance, which is the unique form of Vietnamese art come from wet rice civilization of South East Asia before a journey through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where you’ll then have a chance for some shopping and exploration.

Day 2Hanoi – Pu Luong (B/L/D)

Pick up at your hotel and leave at 8:00 this morning. You enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve by road via a breath taking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley. You arrive at your accommodation in time for a delicious lunch, followed by free time to explore the beautiful retreat, with its captivating panoramic views and tranquil setting.
In the afternoon, following the small road through the terrace rice and sugar cane fields, cross the Hanging Bridges to visit other remote rural villages of Thai Ethnic. Stop at the giant waterwheels, ducks farm to learn about the agriculture before getting on the Bamboo Raft for a relaxing cruise on Cham stream (cruise depending on weather conditions).

Day 3Pu Luong full day trek (B/L/D)

Waking up early today is recommended as your chance to witness more local activities in the
Morning an well as enjoying the breathtaking view from the lodge.
You will then board the van to Pho Doan to start your trek. (Visit local market of Pho Doan only on Thursday and Sunday morning). From there, follow the small road, trail through the terrace rice fields, jungle to reach Hieu Waterfall. Have lunch by the waterfall. Free time to relax and swim in the waterfall or trekking to explore the surrounding village and jungle.

Day 4Pu Luong - Kho Muong - Doi Cave - Mai Chau (B/L/D)

After breakfast, you will trek following the small roads through the terrace rice fields and cross the stream to visit remote hidden village of Kho Muong to learn about the local people in Pu Luong (6kms). Explore Doi Cave (Bat cave), which is the largest cave in Pu Luong.
After enjoying delicious food, you will bid farewell to Pu Luong and make the journey to Mai Chau. You will take shower, having dinner with traditional Thai food and enjoy Thai dance music performance.

Day 5Mai Chau - Moc Chau - Nghia Lo (B/L/D)

It’s a long day today since the mountain roads do not allow the car’s highest speed exceed 45km per hour. In return, we are crossing the most magnificent part of the Hoang Lien Son range – the Tonkinese Alps, the home of most colourful-dressed montagnards, who still maintain lots of their long-term culture and traditions. From Mai Chau, we will drive to Moc Chau, star tour to visit Thai and H’Mong Villages. From Chieng Di Hamlet, through Moc Chau tea plantation hills as well as take visit to Moc Chau dairy farm and several hamlets with hundreds of fruits and flowers species on the way. You will spend time visiting tea plantation hills and local villages as well as communicate with the locals.
Arriving in Nghia Lo in the evening, a pretty mountainous town, we spend the remaining hours of the day wandering the town including the market area.

Day 6Nghia Lo - Tu Le - Mu Cang Chai (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we bid farewell to the host family and head for Tu Le town. Tu Le is a little town located at beautiful valley at the foot of Khau Pha Pass. Upon arrival, we get ready for a soft trek to the rice valley and visit some villages. Taking photographs and meeting local people. Back to the town and having lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, we start our drive up the famous Khau Pha Pass. This mountain pass is known for terraced rice paddies. The scenery over the valley from the pass is so stunning at the rice reason, especially during the harvesting time. We will have some stops for photo opportunities on the way to Mu Cang Chai. Arrive in Mu Cang Chai town late in the afternoon. Check in another home-stay by the town. After getting our baggage stored, we will end the day with a gentle walk to visit a village of the Thai ethnic minority at the foot of a mountain nearby. Dinner and overnight at the home-stay.

Day 7Mu Cang Chai (B/L/D)

This morning, we will get a transfer to a trekking point for the whole day trek to enjoy Vietnam’s national rice terrace heritage. Our trek will start from Che Cu Nha commune to La Pan Tan Commune. It is around 13 km trek, which will definitely offer us a good opportunity to see the main spots and admire the beauty of amazing rice terraces that Mu Cang Chai has to offer. We will also be able to visit a few villages of the H’mong hill tribe scattered in the area.

Day 8Mu Cang Chai - O Quy Ho Pass - Sin Chai village - Cat Cat village (B/L/D)

After breakfast, you will leave Mu Cang Chai. Travel to O Quy Ho Pass – the highest pass in Vietnam (2070m). You should go early to catch the clouds and admire this legendary pass. You will visit Sin Chai village that situated on the bottom of phanxipang mountain before overnight at Cat Cat village.
Spend time to enjoy the mountain life on Sunset. You may attend cooking local dishes with the family and enjoy dinner in peace.

Day 9Cat Cat village - Fansipan - Sapa - Hanoi by bus (B/L/-)

After breakfast, you will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydraulic Power Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill to get to Sapa.
After that, driver & tour guide take you to Cable Car Station and spend 20 minutes with cable car to enjoy the spectacular scenery.
Reach the altitute of 2800 meters, you have a good time to see the view and take photos, visit pagoda the spiritual destinations and trek up to 600 steps you will reach the peak of Fansipan – the Roof of Indochina.
Come back to Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town. You will be free for shopping at the market before come back to Hanoi by bus.

Day 10Hanoi departure (B/-/-)

It is your own time today. At leisure for relaxation or shopping until your guide come and transfer you to the airport for your departure flight.
