Itinerary

Day 1Hanoi arrival (-/-/D)

Upon arrival at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport, our guide and driver will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. You are free to stroll around the city and catch a first glimpse of this peaceful city.

In the late afternoon, we will have a chance to watch the famous water puppet show and take a cyclo tour for a short excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. We’ll then enjoy a special dinner at a very nice local restaurant.

Day 2Hanoi city tour – Bat Trang Pottery Village (B/L/-)

At 8am, our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel and embark on the city tour with highlights of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh Complex, the Temple of Literature and “Hanoi Hilton” –a nick name given by US pilots during the war.

Enjoy lunch with authentic delicious Vietnamese cuisines, you will visit Bat Trang Pottery Village which is the most ancient and famous pottery village of Vietnam, continues to work today and is constantly developing. There are various kinds of pottery, for example jade enamel (under the Ly-Tran Dynasties), brown flower or brown enamel (under the late Tran to early Le Dynasties), cracked enamel (under the late Le Dynasty) and royal blue enamelled items (under the late Le to Nguyen Dynasties). You will watch the artisans forming, painting and glazing their products, which are then baked for several days in huge kilns. You have time for shopping before returning to Hanoi.

Day 3Hanoi – Ba Be (B/L/D)

Today we will have an early pick up at hotel and drive 250 km to the mountainous rice field region of Ba Be. Enjoy gorgeous view along the way and lunch at a local restaurant in Bac Can. Tonight, we have dinner and stay in Babe National Park Hotel.

Day 4Ba Be (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we will have a chance to breathe fresh air in the national park and do interesting exercise by walking 2km to the harbor. A boat trip to visit the biggest and most beautiful Ba Be Lake in Vietnam. We also can visit Nang River, Puong Grottoes and Dau Dang Waterfall. After lunch in a local minority house, we continue our boat trip to visit Pac Ngoi minority village of the Tay. Dinner and overnight with a Tay family.

Day 5Babe- Thai Nguyen- Hanoi (B/L/-)

After simple breakfast, we get on the transport back to Hanoi. On the way, we will stop over some minority villages and take nice photos. We return Hanoi by 4pm.

Day 6Hanoi – Halong Bay – over night on cruise (B/L/D)

After breakfast, we start Best Vietnam Tour today by transfer to Halong Bay – designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage site since 1994. Traveling through the scenic fertile Red River Delta countryside, we get to Ha Long Bay by noon. The natural world heritage site Ha Long Bay is truly one of the most impressive scenery that should not be missed if someone ever comes to the north.

Upon arrival at Ha Long, we embark on cruise for an exploration of the legendary Ha Long Bay. This exciting hours cruise passing by the evocatively shaped islets will provide us a fantastic view of the picturesque scenery blending with the sky and some 3,000 limestone islands and islets rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. Enjoy a Sea food lunch while you cruising through the bay.

Arrival in Van Gia floating fishing village, take rowing boat through the village or kayaking to visiting around the floating fishing village. Visiting Halong Pearl Farm Village, and Swimming in the bay.
Back the cruise and relax, free fresh fruits are served. You’ll join cooking class guided directly by Chef of the Cruise. You have chance to practice Vietnamese traditional dishes such as spring roll or famous cuisine of Vietnam.
After time for dinner enjoying special BBQ seafood on the cruise, you will be free for evening entertainments: play game on the cruise: cards game, chess, karaoke, squid fishing, and overnight on the Cruise.

Day 7Halong Bay – Hanoi – fly to Danang (B/-/-)

Wake up in the morning to the calming sound of the waves crashing on the nearby islands, enjoy Tai Chi lesson on sundeck. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and relax. Sitting on the upper deck, you can enjoy the breath – taking beauty of the rocky Islands rising from the crystal-clear waters of the Bay. The quiet is almost eerie; in summer you can hear birds singing, even that cicadas chirping ashore and the gentle lapping of the waves against our boat, the perfect soundtrack to accompany the fresh air and gentle breeze.

Arrive Sung Sot Cave (Amazing Cave) and joining with guide to visiting and explore the cave.
Our boat start cruising back and brunch buffet will be served on the way. Check out and arrive at the harbor by 11:30. You get back on our car and go back to Hanoi for a flight to Danang.

Day 8Danang Bana Hills – Golden Bridge (B/-/-)

Today, Vietnam Family Vacation will give you new experience on on the beautiful Ba Na Hills. Marvel at the exquisite architecture of the Linh Ung Pagoda, Golden Bridge feeling refreshingly cool weather and gorgeous countryside views, and enjoy exciting games at Fantasy theme park on top of Ba Na hill.

After lunch, free to enjoy the beach.

Day 9Danang – Hoi An – My Son Holy Land (B/L/-)

After breakfast, our guide meets you at your hotel and escorts you to Hoi An. On the way, we pay a visit impressive archaeological site of My Son. My Son is comparable to other big icons in Southeast Asia, like Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Ayutthuya in Thailand and the Borobodur in Indonesia. The ruins and temples of My Son have been dated as being from the 7th to the 13th century. Reaching Hoi An in the afternoon, you will discover interesting proper character through the historical & cultural museum of Hoi An, Phuoc Kien Chinese assembly hall, etc…Hoi An is also a wonderful destination for shopping. Here you can have nice clothes only in few hours!
Rest of the time you will have cheerful time at Cua Dai beach. It is now time for swimming or walk leisurely on the sands.

Day 10Hoi An Eco Tour (B/L/-)

Today, this tour provides you with a cultural window into the ways of life of both our farming and fishing communities. Accompanied by your tour guide, you commence the day leisurely cycling along country roads witnessing local Vietnamese rural life first hand, discovering all manner of photo opportunities – coming and visiting a beautiful organic vegetable village, watering and planting vegetable, hoeing a soil with local farmer, riding a water buffalo in a rice paddy field; seeing ducks swimming along the rice farm or farmers tending their crops. The photo opportunities are endless. As well you will experience the friendliness of the local people greeting you along the way. Later you will board our our boat for a river cruise to meet and engage with local fishermen and enjoy a hands-on experience of traditional net fishing. You will also experience paddling the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat while the waterways of coconut palm paradise.

Rest of the time you will have cheerful time at Cua Dai beach. It is now time for swimming or walk leisurely on the sands.

Day 11Hoi An –Nha Trang (B/-/-)

Today, we will experience the train journey from Danang to Nha Trang and arrive Nha Trang in the evening. Then we take a rest at hotel.

Day 12Nha Trang (B/-/-)

Today we can visit highlights of Nha Trang City including:
• Long Son Pagoda: built in commemoration of the monks and nuns who died whilst fighting the Diem Government. It is famous with the White Buddha statue and spectacular view of the city from the high.
• Hon Chong means the “Husband Rock”, the name given to one of the two rocks (Husband and Wife). As a bridge to help them meet, a row of smaller rocks, stones, pebbles and corals pave the way for their reunion, this ill-fated legendary couple.
• The Po Nagar Cham Temples: an outstanding example of Cham architecture, situated on Mount Cu Lao, this hillside location offers panoramic views of the surrounding bay and countryside.

Rest of the time, we can relax at famous Thap Ba Hot Mineral Spring Center, where we take mud bath or sink in hot mineral water (not included in the package). Return Nha Trang in the late morning.

Day 13Nha Trang boat trip (B/L/-)

Today, you will spend a full day to experience the coast of Nha Trang. After breakfast, transfer to Cau Da wharf. The Oceanographic Institute nearby the Nha Trang Port is the first place to visit where you can sea the full collection of sea creatures of Nha Trang bay before embarking & cruising to the islands. Many sea species of Nha Trang/Khanh Hoa province make a small ocean world there. Continue the trip with Hon Mun Island where you have the chance for swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters. From here, continue to Hon Mot Island to visit the fishing village of Lang Chai or enjoy water sports. Returns to your hotel by 4 PM. Rest of the day you are free to discover the city by yourself or visit Dam Market for shopping.

Day 14Nha Trang – Dalat (B/-/-)

Today we take a drive to Dalat, a very popular destination for Vietnamese local people. After check –in in your hotel, you then can be free to walk leisurely around the city, drink coffee at local uphill restaurant, riding horse around the lake while enjoying this peaceful city.

Day 15Dalat from north to south (B/L/-)

Today, we embark on the city tour to the most wanted places of Dalat.

East: • Dalat railway station: remarkable with its architecture and its old steam locomotive. If wish, you can take the 7km train ride to Trai Mat through vegetable farms.
Linh Phuoc Pagoda: 9km east from the center, the most colorful decorated temple of dalat, caved with tens of thousands of beer bottles and broken china wares.

North: • Lat Village: visit Lat houses and study Lat culture.

South: • Robin Hill: at 1650m, we will get the whole view of Dalat. And take a cable car to Tuyen Lam Lake, the nicest lake of Dalat
Truc Lam Zen Monastery: the largest Zen Monastery of Vietnam

West: • Bao Dai Summer Palace, where the last Emperor of Vietnam stayed and ruled his Vietnam from 1949 to 1954

Day 16Dalat free (B/-/-)

Free day to do your own exploring.

Day 17Dalat –Saigon – City tour (B/-/-)

After breakfast, your private driver will you collect you and take you to airport for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, commonly known as Saigon. It is the largest city in Vietnam and is located near the Mekong Delta.

Upon arrival, we will be met by your private guide and driver and taken to the hotel for check in. Rooms are usually available after mid-day. Lunch is on your own.

In the afternoon you will be met again and embark upon an exploration of this Metropolitan City. You will visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Rex Hotel, City Hall, the Opera House, the colonial Post Office, renowned for its architecture, and the Ben Thanh Market. Later stop at the Reunification Palace and the moving War Remnants Museum to learn more of Vietnam’s turbulent past.

In the evening, we will start foodie trip by walking around district 1 to visit some famous and specialized – food families or stall/ local restaurant. Taste some popular authentic food by yourself in hidden alleys and sidewalks that you never imagine. Discover Saigon life, see how 3 – generation family can live under one roof, in a very tiny 9-square meter house.

Day 18Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dai Temple (B/L/-)

Today, Best Vietnam Tour introduce 2 must-see sites in the south of Vietnam – Cu Chi tunnels and Cao Dai temple.

In the morning, you will be privately transferred by your guide and driver to northwest of Saigon to visit the Cu Chi tunnels. The tunnels were constructed during the “American war” and used by the Viet Cong. Today, some of the remaining tunnels have been opened to tourists, offering a unique insight into what underground life must have been like during the war.

Upon arrival at the historical site of Cu Chi you will watch a brief introductory documentary and then begin our sightseeing, walking on the dirt paths through the bush. You will also have the chance to crawl through some of the tunnels if you wish. After touring Cu Chi you are driven for approximately 1hr to Tay Ninh, to the Cao Dai Temple. Here you will watch part of a Cao Dai service, with an explanation of this very different religion.

Leaving the temple, you head to for a simple lunch in a local restaurant before driving back to town (Approx. 3 hrs.)

Day 19Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta (B/L/-)

At 8 hours, you will be picked up at the hotel and transferred to My Tho. Around 9h30, arriving in My Tho, you will enjoy different type of boat trip (motorized boat trip and rowing boat trip) to islands where you can visit local houses, see how they make delicious coconut caramels and enjoy lunch.

After that, you will also stop over the Unicorn Island for a traditional music performance, “cai luong” by local people. Enjoy some tropical fruit here. Especially, you will have a chance to be on horse-drawn carriage or local transport “Xe loi” (nowadays, it is often seen on movies).

In the afternoon, around 2 hours, you will take a drive back to Saigon.

Day 20Ho Chi Minh City departure (B/-/-)

Free time for shopping at Dong Khoi Street or shopping centres around until transfer time to the airport for a flight home.
