Sapa Photo Tour “Returning to the past”  is a soft adventure tour design for nature lover who love trekking and exploring the indigenous culture in the remote mountainous area of Vietnam. You will trek along the water buffalo trails and cross some stunning terraces, stay overnight in the village with the tribe people, learn their unique culture & tradition. What to Prepare and Bring

  • Umbrella or Hat, Sunscreen, T-Shirt, Swimming Suit and Sport Shoes
  • Fully charged camera, bring an extra battery of the same type, and your camera charger
  • At least two memory cards, and card reader, compatible with the type of card in use
  • Your tripod for scenery when it's dark (sunrise, sunset, night exposure)
  • Clean camera and lens to ensure the best and most beautiful images
  • Lens/sensor cleaning materials for if/when it's needed
  • Vietnam's electricity is 220v in most places, and plugs accept the two round plugs, common in Europe. US visitors with flat prongs will need to bring plug adapters.

Itinerary

Day 1Night train – Hanoi- Lao Cai station (-/-/-)

Sapa Photo Tour begins with overnight train journey from Hanoi to the border town of Laocai. Sleep aboard the train in 4-person soft berth deluxe comfort with Air-conditioner.

Day 2Lao Cai - Bac Ha market (Sunday) (B/L/-)

Upon your arrival in Lao Cai city, our local guide will welcome you with a board of your name. If the train arrives early enough, you will be transferred to the sightseeing point to have the panorama of Lao Cai city before heading to a local market by car. You will soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the Bac Ha Sunday Markets – the largest in the region. Observe the mix of Flower H’mong, Phu La, Black Dao, Tay and Nung ethnic minority traders that journey to the market from the surrounding mountainous areas. Browse the colourful stalls stocking a variety of local products, brightly coloured handicrafts and fresh tea. You will join local ethnic peoples of the morning to enjoy the exciting atmosphere as well as activities of this market. Have lunch at local restaurant.
Stop by a traditional Tay house for a cup of tea before taking a boat cruise upstream the Chay River. The scenery is very beautiful on both sides of the river. The boat trip will end at Bao Nhai bridge where your vehicle will be waiting for you for the journey to Sapa.

Day 3Sapa Rice and Mountain (B/L/-)

Your photographing day requires some walking as we approach Ma Tra and Ta Phin. This area inherit the large rice paddies, dotted with wooden houses and indigo plantation. This is home to friendly Black Hmong and Red Dzao people who boasts different traditional workshop to make embroidery, herbal medicine.
In the afternoon, we spend time to see ther rice paddies in Hau Thao, one of the best place to see rice terrace from far and the great view toward Muong Hoa valley.

Day 4Sapa - Fansipan Mt. - O Quy Ho Pass (B/L/-)

Enjoy morning to visit the highest mountain of Indochina Fansipan Mountain at 3,143 metres by cable car. Reach the altitute of 2800 meters, you have a good time to see the view and take photos, visit pagoda the spiritual destinations and trek up to 600 steps you will reach the peak of Fansipan – the Roof of Indochina.
In the afternoon, you will take photos at O Quy Ho Mountain Pass, where is still the place for photo hunters visiting to admire and conquer. Located at an altitude of nearly 2,000 meters across Hoang Lien Son Mountain range, the pass is considered as one of the ”four great passes” in Vietnam with long and winding roads.
Continue the trip with free time at Sapa market before get the night train back to Hanoi.

Day 5Hanoi arrival (B/-/-)

Upon arrival at Hanoi train Station in the early morning, our driver will take you back to your hotel.
