Cuc Phuong trekking tour focus on experience wildlife in the Cuc Phuong National Park within 2 days from Hanoi, transfer by car or minibus to Ninh Binh province.
Located 120 kilometres south of Hanoi, Cuc Phuong national park was established in 1962 and is the oldest national park in Vietnam. Consisting of more than 200 square kilometres of tropical forest and many grottoes, the reserve is rich in wildlife and natural beauty and also possesses historical significance, as prehistoric tools and ancient tombs have been discovered in some of the cave.

This morning, we leave the city behind for a scenic journey, 120km south-west of Hanoi to Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam’s centerpiece of conservation efforts and one of the most accessible parks in the country.
Arriving at Cuc Phuong National Park, we start our visit at the endangered primate rescue, the first rescue center of Vietnam and Indochina established in 1993 to conserve 15 species and sub-species of rarest primate in the world which are confiscated from wildlife trade center before having lunch at the National Park Restaurant.
After lunch, you will drive for 20km to the park center for a long trek to Khanh village, with a visit to “Cave of Early Man”, where we see the two newly discovered ancient tombs along with Neolithic remains and evidence of stone implements.
Leaving from the park center, you will trek for 16km (about five to six hours), through the primary forest, passing over millennia-old limestone rocky slopes and trees. The destination is a village of Muong where the hospitability people waiting and serve you with good dinner and in traditional of Muong style. In the evening can enjoy the traditional music performance on stilt house (this on request).
After a night’s sleep in the traditional stilt house, you will wake up by the chickens, buffalo and the sound of the village. We enjoy the breakfast before walking to Buoi stream for a “bamboo rafting cruise” on the river. The scene is adorable, and you can stop at anywhere along the way for a swim.
After that you will trek 12km from Khuong Village to Mon Village along the poetic stream to reach terraced rice fields and Muong ethnic villages and have lunch on the way at Thuong Village with forest specialties. Arrive at Mon village, you’ll enjoy relaxing time and local dishes will be served for your dinner.
Let the mountainous cool air and birds’ songs wake you up early to enjoy peaceful atmosphere and nutritious breakfast to start another trekking day along the stream to visit Sat Thuong Village.
On the way to Sat Thuong, you will see fascinating hill tribes and be captivated by the pristine landscapes and understand further about the intense relationship between the locals and their land.
Arriving at Sat Thuong Village, you will check-in a stilt-house for night. The slow pace of life in this region will bring you unforgettable peaceful memories. The locals are friendly and welcoming, allowing you a chance to better understand their practices and learn about their life.
On the last day of our Vietnam discovery tour, we will embark on a trek to Mu Village. Stop and enjoy the lovely view at Mu waterfall before having lunch at the center of Ngoc Son – Ngo Luong. Take a rest and then get on car to come back Hanoi.
