Explore Northern Thailand Tour is a great way to explore the northern plains of Thailand. After visiting all the important sites inside of the city, Bangkok, you will leave plenty of time for fun in historic Chiang Mai with its night market and delicious cuisine. Journeying along the Thai/Myanmar mountain border, we will see a variety of hill tribes experience their hospitality, and learn about their culture and way of life.

Upon arrival, meet our driver/tour guide and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure
After breakfast, meet our guide and drive to visit two of the most special Buddhist temples in the city. The Buddha in WatTrimitr weighs several tons, and is made of solid gold. Visit the famous Reclining Buddha at Wat Po, where the blind may be trained to become masseuses.
Then visit a site the Thai people consider the most sacred in the Kingdom: ,b>The Royal Grand Palace. This is one of the most beautiful examples of an ancient Thai court, with several Halls in same compound. You will also visit the Temple of the sacred Emerald Buddha.
Lunch will be served at the local restaurant, then continue your afternoon to explore the Chao Phraya River’s edge, to board a local style “Long Tail Boat”, and spend a few hours to enjoy the old canals of the Thonburi side of Bangkok, where an older and more gracious lifestyle still prevails. You will have opportunities to snack, purchase knick-knacks, or use a toilet, at stops en route.
Visit the Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun), which you will probably recognize, from its famous silhouette. The local story goes that the shards of pottery decorating its 79 m tall spire came from a nearby shipwreck 100 years ago.
Today take flight to the north of Thailand – that is Chiang Mai. Arrive in Chiang Mai, meet the tour guide and then transfer to the hotel.
After lunch, transfer to visit Doi Suthep Temple which is one of the most sacred temples in Chiang Mai – Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep. Located on hilltop in Northern – Thai style and containing holy relic of Lord Buddha and enjoy seeing panoramic view of the whole city. Return to the hotel and relax on own. In the evening enjoy the famous dinner “Khantoke Dinner” known as the northern welcome dinner including hill tribe dancing.
Breakfast at hotel, embark to the Elephants Camp to see the elephants at work in a jungle area. See how the elephants are trained for working with human and the elephant shows. Then, you have the chance for an exciting ride on the elephant ride along the trails and followed by Ox-Cart ride back to the camp – lunch at the elephant camp. Afternoon, enjoy on local handicraft bamboo rafting along Mae Taeng river. Return to Chiang Mai and a stop will be at Orchid Nursery. Transfer to your hotel.
After breakfast at hotel, have some time on your own before we depart Chiang Rai in early morning and en route stop at the hot spring for relax. Continue driving through the countryside, passing rice paddy fields and mountains.
Visit a unique white temple built by one of the best national artists. After visit Karen Hilltribe Village before drive to visit Mae Sai Border, this is not only the most important border market but also it is the easiest way for any tourist who want to visit Myanmar the mystic country.
After lunch, we make a rest stop at the Golden Triangle in Chiang Sean, where the three borders of Myanmar-Laos-Thailand are met. We take long tail boat to Laos side and see hill top viewpoint, marvel at the splendor of the mighty Mekong joining with the Ruak and forming the actual “Triangle “with Laos, Burma and Thailand.
Day at leisure until to transfer to the airport to take the flight back to your next destination.
