Can Gio Vam Sat – Mangrove Forest

Listed in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves by UNESCO, Can Gio is one of the most important wetland of Vietnam, hosting more than 200 species of fauna and 52 species of flora. We specially customized this experience to fit your desire of a truly eco-tour.

Depart Saigon and head straight to our port in Can Gio – Vam Sat. Take the canoe trip along the immense river to go to the bat area. Here you’ll board a rowing boat to explore the natural landscape and its inhabitants such as the large fruit bats. A short trek will take you to the nearby bird reserve during the nesting season(*) where a watchtower will allow you to observe thousands birds flying around. Have lunch at a local eco restaurant.

After lunch, keep walking to the natural crocodile lake to feeding them.

Hope on our van and head to the last stop at Monkey Island, home of a thousand wild long tailed macaques, which don’t hesitate to approach visitors for getting foods or simply curious actions. Some time they might steal your belongings just for fun, so be sure to keep a tight hold on your belongings.
