Traditional New Year holidays in Vietnam
This is the most important and longest holidays in Vietnam, affected from Eastern Asia. In these days, Vietnamese people usually prepare products, foods before holidays including Square glutinous rice cake, peach blossom tree, chicken… and all items for ancestor worship. Traditional New Year’s Eve is so sacred in Vietnam, people frequently sit with other members in family to talk about their plan for new year, rushing to the road to enjoy New Year atmosphere or going to pagodas, temples to pray for lucky to them and their family.
In the first three days of new year, people usually visit their family members’ or friends’ home to send best wishes and lucky for new year. They also organize parties and parties together to celebrate Traditional New Year festival. Children and seniors commonly receive lucky money and wishes from others. Some people choose these to depart for fortune and hope to receive lucky for the whole year.

Holidays in Vietnam in 2017 for Hung Kings’ Festival
Hung Kings’ Festival is one of the biggest festival in Vietnam, organized yearly, to express thanks to Hung Kings’ contribution to protection and development of Vietnam in history.
From thousand years ago to now, Hung Kings’ Temple is original point of Vietnamese people, the respective and hallowed sympol of Vietnam. Every year, the festival is organized there in March 10th (lunar calendar). Before that, many traditional and cultural activities are arranged to end in the Festival day.
Hung Kings’ Festival is the festival for all Vietnamese people, everyone turns to it to commemorate and pay grateful attitude to Hung Kings who start Vietnam history.
In 2017, Hung Kings’ Festival is on April 6th on Thursday.

Holidays in Vietnam in 2017 for Reunification and International Labor Day
Reunification day is the day Vietnam celebrates to liberate South of Vietnam from Republic of Vietnam under support from USA during Vietnam War. In this day, Vietnamese people has one holidays and the next day is International Labor Day (May 1st) so we have 2 holidays. If these days fall on Saturday or Sunday, we have one more day to add in.

Holidays in Vietnam for National Day
National Day or Independence Day is one of the biggest event in Vietnam, we usually organize military parade in Ba Dinh square where is before Ho Chi Minh mausoleum. In this day in 1945, Ho Chi Minh president – the founder of Socialist Republic of Vietnam – declare independence for Vietnamese people from French colonialism and domination. It marks the connection between colonial period to modern life in Vietnam.
National Day was fixed on September 2nd.
